Summary
  • In space: the angle between a line and a plane – with the projection; between planes – between the perpendiculars to the line of intersection; the three perpendiculars theorem.
  • Vectors: the triangle rule, AB→=OB→−OA→\displaystyle {\overrightarrow{AB}}={\overrightarrow{OB}-\overrightarrow{OA}}, dividing a segment nOA→+mOB→m+n\displaystyle \frac{n\overrightarrow{OA}+m\overrightarrow{OB}}{m+n}.
  • Linear dependence: parallel – v‾=tu‾\displaystyle {\underline{v}}={t\underline{u}}; a meeting point – comparing coefficients.
  • The scalar product: ∣u‾∣∣v‾∣cos⁡α=u1v1+u2v2+u3v3\displaystyle {|\underline{u}||\underline{v}|\cos\alpha}={u_1v_1+u_2v_2+u_3v_3}; perpendicular – 0; length – u‾2\displaystyle \sqrt{\underline{u}^2}.
  • Line and plane: x‾=v‾+tu‾\displaystyle {\underline{x}}={\underline{v}+t\underline{u}}; ax+by+cz+d=0\displaystyle {ax+by+cz+d}={0} with the normal (a,b,c)\displaystyle (a,b,c); putting a line into a plane.
  • Distances and angles: the formulas on the formula page; a point and a line – the foot of the perpendicular; skew lines – a parallel plane.
